Roots of AMI

The AMI shape appeared in my sketches in 2008. I refined the drawing, scanned it; and experimented with it. A digital version was printed much larger on heavy paper. The large paper AMI outlines were used to make the first eight paintings. AMI nine and ten, were made using Pixelmator Pro, printed large scale and hand drawn modifications added. This pattern was transferred to the canvas and used as a guide to construct the paintings.
